7. Isaac Nation (1771-1859)

Isaac Nation, son of Joseph Nation and Jereter Vickroy was born in 1771 in Randolph Co. N. Car. and died in Knox Co. Ill. of typhoid. He married Lucy Owen, born 1780-90 in Halifax Co. Virg. and died 10 Sept. 1859 in Henderson, Knox Co. Ill. In the 1840 census Knox Co., Ill. there were two white males listed, one 20 30 and one 60 - 70. One white female 15 - 20 and another 50 60.

They had the following children:

1. Joel - Born 1804-1810 in Barren Co., Kentucky - Married Mary Ann Gritton
2. Charlotte - Born about 1804 - Married 22 Jan. 1822 in Ind. to Seth Nation - Died 1841 in Mont. Co. Ind.
3. Lucy - Born 26 Sept. 1816 in Barren Co., Ky. - Married George Gritton on 5 Mar. 1840 - Died I April 1866 Knox Co. 111.
4. John Owen - Born 12 Nov. 1811 in Cave City, Barren Co., Ky. Married 19 Jan 1832 in Ind. to Isabella Watson Died 24 Oct 1888 in Guthrie Co., Iowa
5. Vickery - Born 14 Dec 1818 in Barren Co. Ky. Married Roseanna Proe in Ill. in 1844 Died 9 Jan 1894 in Knox Co. Ill.
