3. John Nation, Jr.

John Nation, Jr. son of John and Bethiah Robins Nation, was married to Elizabeth Bethiah Robins. They came from Frederick Co., Va. to Guilford Co., N.C. about 1751. He witnessed the wedding at a Quaker marriage in the New Garden Monthly Meeting in Guilford Co. when Joseph Lamb and Frances Beeson were married 23 July 1761. He seems to have stayed in N. Car. until about 1795 as there was a John Nations in Stokes County N.C. in 1790. He had one son over 16 years of age., two sons under 16, and 4 daughters. There was another John Nation in Mecklenberg Co., N.C. in 1790 who had one son over 16, two sons under 16 and five daughters. Have been unable to further identify him.

John Nation was in the Greenville District of S. Car. in 1800, 1810, 1820. This is believed to be the John Jr. mentioned above. After 1830 his name does not appear on the census rolls for this district. Whether he died there, or moved away has not been determined.
